In line with the philosophy of “sukchulmok,” which advocates spaces that reflect their users, Parconido seeks to encapsulate the essence of its client’s long-standing connection to Italy. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant squares of Europe, the cafe’s design pays homage to its Italian influences while maintaining a distinct identity.

Harmonious Unity: Design Elements

The cafe’s architecture features columns and rounded walls that envelop the space, reminiscent of the bustling squares adorned with red brick buildings and stone pillars. Despite their varied shapes, all columns and walls adhere to a consistent radius of 600mm, creating a sense of unity without monotony. Constructed from clay bricks stacked meticulously without gaps, these elements are reinforced with iron frames, resembling the skin of a structure.

Furniture, crafted in perfect circles, seamlessly blends into the space through various forms, including concrete castings and wood combinations. These pieces complement the rounded environment, adding depth without overshadowing the unique design elements.

Tranquil Ambiance: Warm Material Palette

The interior ambiance is defined by a warm-toned palette, achieved through a blend of red brick, travertine limestone, and wood. Travertine limestone, reminiscent of European square fountains, adorns the floors, walls, and ceilings, creating a cohesive backdrop. Rounded angles soften the boundaries within the space, imparting a sense of expansiveness and weightlessness.

Symbolism and Meaning: A Nest of Comfort

Central to the cafe’s identity is its symbol—a baby bird nestled in a nest, symbolizing comfort and tranquility. This motif reflects the brand’s inception, symbolizing a new beginning and inviting visitors to unwind and savor the moment.
